==Geography==
Oakland Township is located in east-central Butler County and contains the unincorporated communities of Woodbine, North Oakland, and Boydstown. Connoquenessing Creek flows through the northwest part of the township, impounded as Lake Oneida for a portion of its course.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of , of which is land and , or 1.37%, is water.〔
